Job summary

Babilou Family US is seeking a Certified Teacher to lead the development and implementation of high-quality curriculum in an on-site setting. You will guide a teaching team, model sustainable education practices, and foster strong partnerships with children, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities include classroom leadership, safety, and ongoing professional development, with a focus on developmentally appropriate practice and environmental stewardship throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active teaching certification as required by state licensing.
• Experience teaching young children in a childcare or educational setting.
• Knowledge of child development, curriculum design, and classroom safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design daily lesson plans and learning experiences aligned with developmentally appropriate practice and sustainable education principles.
• Lead classroom organization and routines promoting environmental responsibility and stewardship.
• Model best practices for the teaching team and ensure high-quality instructional delivery.
• Supervise children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor exploration with emphasis on safety.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with families through professional communication and involvement in conferences and events.
• Maintain certifications and participate in ongoing sustainability-focused professional learning.
