The role emphasizes teamwork, DHS compliance, and ongoing professional development, with a focus on social, emotional, and academic growth for young learners in a licensed center.

Qualifications

• Must meet Department of Human Services (DHS) qualifications for a Lead Educator in a licensed child care center.
• Demonstrated experience working with young students in a licensed early childhood education setting.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 40 lbs, and to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Implement age-appropriate, play-based lesson plans and activities aligned with early learning standards.
• Maintain a positive classroom culture that fosters belonging, safety, and curiosity.
• Observe, assess, and document student development; tailor instruction to individual needs.
• Establish and maintain a positive, respectful classroom environment; manage behavior with positive reinforcement.
• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of the classroom and materials.
• Provide daily updates to parents via the Parent Communication app; collaborate with families.
