Job summary

Sonnet Montessori is seeking an Educator’s Aide to support Lead Educators in creating a nurturing, engaging learning environment for young children. You will assist with lesson plans, supervision, family communication, and daily classroom routines.

The role emphasizes safety, social-emotional growth, and collaboration within a warm community. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days is required.

Qualifications

• Must meet the Department of Human Services (DHS) Educator’s Aide qualification requirements.
• Experience with young children in childcare settings preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
• CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Educator in implementing play‑based, age‑appropriate lesson plans and activities that support development.
• Help maintain a positive classroom culture that fosters belonging, safety, and curiosity.
• Provide active supervision to ensure student safety and engagement in all activities.
• Observe and record developmental milestones under the guidance of the Lead Educator.
• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of the classroom and materials to maintain a safe environment.
• Support positive behavior guidance strategies.
• Greet families during drop‑off and pick‑up and share updates via the center’s platform.
