Job summary

Goddard Riverside Community Center in Manhattan is seeking a lead educator to plan, implement, and oversee classroom activities for children, including those with disabilities. You will work with teachers and administrators to improve student achievement through coaching, feedback, and professional development.

This full-time role requires a master’s in education, NYS Teacher Certification, and two years of classroom experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education required.
• Minimum two years of classroom experience.
• NYS Teacher Certification required.
• DOI Fingerprinted/PETS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly lesson plans aligned with goals.
• Schedule home visits and parent–teacher conferences.
• Create a safe, developmentally appropriate learning environment.
• Observe teaching methods and provide constructive feedback.
• Coordinate professional development opportunities for staff.
• Document progress and communicate with families.
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed.
