Yellow Brick Road is seeking a Lead Educator to foster a nurturing, inclusive learning environment for young children. You will plan and implement play-based activities, observe and support development, and maintain a positive classroom culture.

Responsibilities include parent communication, documentation, and ongoing professional development. Demonstrated DHS qualifications and experience in licensed early childhood settings are required.

Qualifikationen

• Must meet Department of Human Services (DHS) qualifications for a Lead Educator in a licensed child care center.
• Demonstrated experience working with young students in a licensed early childhood education setting.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing or sitting for extended periods and lifting up to 40 lbs.

Aufgaben

• Curriculum Planning and Implementation: Implement play-based, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that support development, aligned with early learning standards.
• Help maintain a positive classroom culture that fosters belonging, safety, and curiosity.
• Child Development Observation and Assessment: Observe and assess development and progress; tailor instruction accordingly.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress.
• Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and respectful classroom culture; manage behavior with positive reinforcement.
• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of the classroom.
• Parent and Family Communication: Provide daily updates through the Parent Communication app; communicate via phone, written, and in-person as needed.
• Collaborate with parents to support learning at home.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
