Lead Educators are a vital link in supporting Educators and Centre Leadership to develop and implement innovative early learning programs that will set children up for formal schooling and beyond.

The Centre

A warm welcome to Guardian Childcare & Education Sunbury. A home away from home for your children, our childhood education programs are focused on play-based learning. Our modern, spacious day care and childcare centre provides an environment for children aged six weeks to six years.


Our centre is situated with access to Sunbury Train station and bus routes and offers onsite parking; making it easier for you during pick-up and drop-off times. It’s conveniently located for working families in the surrounding area.


The centre is also in proximity to Sunbury Primary School and Sunbury Heights Primary School for families with older children. Our strong ties to our local area provide ample opportunities for community engagement.


The Opportunity

Working closely with your fellow Educators and Centre Leadership Team, you will enjoy:

  • Developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the centre community.
  • Leading and guiding teams in developing and implementing an innovative early learning program reflective of current early years thinking and practice.
  • Documenting and sharing children’s learning and development with families.
  • Actively contributing to the implementation and adoption of the Guardian Curriculum.
  • Participating in professional learning and development programs, career pathways, and a collaborative, inclusive learning environment.

To be considered, you will have:
  • A Cert 3 or a Diploma in Children’s Services (or working towards)
  • Prior experience in long day-care
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience with the NQF and the EYLF (Essential)
  • Current Working with Children’s Check (for VIC state)
