Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a registered Adult nurse to lead the Emergency Department team at Leeds General Infirmary. This Band 7 role involves direct managerial responsibility, clinical leadership, and delivering high-quality care within the ED's 24-hour service.

You will be required to utilise change management skills, support specialist staff, and ensure adherence to ECS standards while maintaining key policies.

Qualifications

• Registered adult nurse with a recognised teaching and assessing qualification.
• Experience in Emergency Medicine is essential; trauma knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• To take direct managerial responsibility for the clinical area.
• Lead by example and inspire best practice whilst supporting the team.
• Support Band 7 to lead and develop nurses within the ED.
• Act as a clinical resource within the ED.
• Demonstrate change management and workforce understanding.
• Understand and help deliver the Emergency Care Standard (ECS).
• Ensure timely high-quality care in line with local and national agendas.
