The National CARDIO-VET Network is recruiting for a Medical Instrument Technician (Echocardiography) within the Maine VA Clinics. This role requires travel to Augusta, Chelsea, Bangor, Lincoln, Rumford, or Portland as part of the Cardiology Hub and Spoke Network. Applicants may be tentatively selected while meeting requirements.

The position emphasizes complex echocardiography skills, regulatory familiarity, and potential leadership duties at GS-9 level with strong clinical responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of complex echocardiography procedures and training.
• Familiarity with JCAHO and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to train and supervise staff.

Responsabilités

• Operate echocardiography equipment to image the heart.
• Travel to multiple duty locations within the Cardiology Hub and Spoke Network.
• Ensure safety and quality standards for patient care.
• Maintain documentation and assist in policy/procedure development.
