Job summary

The Learning Experience - Tuckahoe is hiring a Lead Early Childhood Teacher for 2 to 3 year olds. You will lead daily activities, guide language development, and create engaging, structured learning experiences in a warm classroom environment.

We offer 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, full-time schedules, and opportunities for advancement. The position emphasizes caring, energetic educators and collaboration with families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in Early Childhood Education, CDA, or high school diploma with 5+ years' childcare experience.
• Must meet New York childcare licensing qualifications for Lead Teacher role.
• Previous toddler/preschool classroom experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily classroom activities and routines for children ages 2.5-3.
• Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum.
• Encourage language development, independence, and positive social interactions.
• Plan hands-on learning experiences through art, music, movement, and sensory play.
• Support toilet training, meals, rest time, and daily transitions.
• Maintain consistent routines and use positive behavior guidance.
• Observe developmental milestones and maintain classroom documentation.
• Mentor and collaborate with Assistant Teachers.
• Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom.
• Follow applicable New York childcare licensing requirements
