Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County is hiring a Lead Teacher for our Early Learning Centers to guide children ages 0–12 through play-based learning and social-emotional support. You’ll help each child reach milestones with creativity and care, while aligning activities with WA state standards.

We value a play-first mindset, willingness to complete WAC requirements, 30-hour STARS training, TB test, and background/fingerprinting checks.

• Willingness to complete WA state requirements including 30-hour STARS training, TB test, and background/fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Create Joy: Implement activities that get kids moving, thinking, and growing (ages 0–12).
• Be a Mentor: Guide social-emotional development so each child feels seen.
• Lead the Way: Maintain a high-quality classroom environment meeting WA state standards.
