Job summary

ALLEGAN COUNTY RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE INC. seeks an Early Head Start Teacher to deliver developmentally appropriate instructional experiences for infants and toddlers, supporting growth in social, emotional, physical, and educational areas.

The teacher will implement the Head Start curriculum, set objectives, and collaborate with the Co‑Teacher to plan activities and assess progress, while ensuring a safe, engaging learning environment throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Must meet Michigan licensing standards for a lead caregiver.
• 480 hours of childcare experience.
• AA in Early Childhood Education or equivalent preferred.
• CDA credential (Head Start) and Infant/Toddler focus.
• CPR and Basic First Aid certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional experiences for infants/toddlers to support development.
• Collaborate with Co‑Teacher to plan learning activities and goals.
• Create safe, engaging classrooms and monitor progress.
