Job summary

YMCA of Greater Seattle is hiring Early Education professionals at our Auburn site. You will create nurturing, developmentally appropriate activities and lead a child-centered classroom. Work with a supportive leadership team and access strong resources to help children grow.

You will plan, implement, and supervise activities, support staff and volunteers, and communicate progress with families in a caring environment. This role emphasizes partnership with families and community impact.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Experience working with children in the same age group.
• Completion of minimum STARS-required training.
• High school diploma or equivalent with ECE credits within five years of hire.
• Background check clearances and TB/MMR vaccination required.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements developmentally appropriate activities within the curriculum.
• Directs programs to meet the needs and interests of all children.
• Supervises groups of children to ensure health and safety.
• Participates in coaching and feedback with program quality groups.
• Guides staff/volunteers overseeing activities and observations.
• Communicates with parents with newsletters and conferences.
• Follows YMCA policies on medical, safety, and prevention procedures.
• May cover Program Supervisor during short-term absences.
• Maintains a clean, welcoming classroom environment.
