Job summary

BrightPath Early Learning & Child Care is seeking a Lead Teacher in Storrs, CT. You will work closely with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children, following NAEYC guidelines.

Your responsibilities include creating age-appropriate curricula, maintaining a safe and engaging classroom, and partnering with families to plan individualized care and education plans.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in ECE or related field, CDA credential, Head Teacher cert, 12 ECE credits, or Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years of licensed child care experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in one classroom to ensure safety.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with NAEYC standards.
• Plan activities based on children's interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm, clean, and safe classroom environment.
• Collaborate with families to support each child's care and education.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child.
