BrightPath Kids Inc. in Ellington, CT is seeking a Lead Teacher to join our early childhood team.

You will work with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children, following NAEYC guidelines and building a warm, safe, and engaging classroom environment. Responsibilities include creating developmentally appropriate curricula, supervising children 6 weeks through 12 years, and partnering with families to support each child’s growth.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or CDA/head teacher cert, or 12 ECE credits, or Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years of licensed child care experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years in one classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Partner with families to create plans to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
