Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is hiring a Teacher in Washington, DC to lead and mentor in the classroom, implement curriculum, and create a safe, engaging environment for children. You will partner with families to support learning and center goals.

This role requires strong customer service, organizational skills, and the ability to work with diverse communities. A CDA credential or NAECY candidacy is preferred, along with CPR/First Aid training and state qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must have outstanding customer service and organizational skills.
• Possess active CDA credential or NAECY candidacy.
• Approved state trainer status preferred.
• 2–3 years early childhood education experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Meet state qualifications and obtain CPR/First Aid.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and work indoors/outdoors.
• Read, write and speak English to communicate with families.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor teachers in your classroom.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum per child needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment for play and learning.
• Partner with parents to support care and education goals.
• Support center goals around enrollment, accreditation and engagement.
• Build relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities and partners.
