Job summary

KinderCare is seeking a lead teacher to mentor fellow staff, implement the center’s curriculum, and create a safe, nurturing environment where every child can learn and grow. You will collaborate with parents and center leadership to drive enrollment, uphold accreditation standards, and engage the community.

The role requires strong customer service, excellent organization, and the ability to multitask in a busy setting.

Qualifications

• Lead and mentor teachers in the classroom; provide feedback and modeling
• Implement KinderCare curriculum while addressing each child’s unique needs
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn
• Partner with parents to support the best care and education for children
• Support center goals around enrollment, accreditation and engagement
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service, strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
• Active CDA Credential or NAEYC candidacy requirements are preferred
• Approved state trainer is preferred
• 2–3 years ECE experience preferred
• Bachelor’s in ECE preferred
• Meet state-specific qualifications or willingness to obtain
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
• Physically able to lift 40 pounds and work indoors/outdoors
• English literacy to communicate with children and parents

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn
• Partner and connect with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children
• Support your center’s success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners
• Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively
• Possess active CDA Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements
• Approved state trainer (preferred)
• 2-3 years Early Childhood Education Experience (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
• Meet state specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain

• Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
• Able to engage with children at their level and communicate in English with children and parents
