Job summary

Zoot Adventure Learning Academy in Bozeman, MT is seeking a full-time Early Childhood Lead Teacher to collaborate with the Director, plan and implement a play-based program grounded in the Creative Curriculum, and oversee classroom staff.

Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, assessing child development, communicating with families, and ensuring licensing compliance while fostering a safe, joyful learning environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• MT Practitioner Registry Level 2 or higher.
• First Aid/CPR certification or able to obtain within 30 days.
• Valid Montana Driver License with clean driving record.
• Experience caring for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a play-based curriculum aligned with Creative Curriculum and ZALA.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and interns.
• Communicate regularly with families about children's progress.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized childcare environment.
• Ensure licensing requirements and center policies are followed.
