Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Social Services with 1–2 years’ experience in an early childhood setting.
• Minimum CDA or 60 college credits with 1–2 years’ experience with children newborn to age 3 in a center-based option or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee developmentally appropriate activities for children and the classroom.
• Build positive relationships with families, partnering in each child’s growth.
• Communicate with families; participate in conferences and team meetings.
• Promote family engagement; encourage parents as the child’s first teacher.
• Maintain confidentiality of child, family, and staff information.
• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and respect for diversity.
• Attend required training, staff meetings, and professional development.
• Collaborate with teammates and perform additional duties as assigned.
