Job summary

NorthStar Learning Centers, Inc. in New Bedford, Massachusetts, seeks a Teacher - Infant/Toddler or Preschool with EEC certification to open and lead a brand-new classroom.

Associate’s degree preferred; EEC certification required; NorthStar will provide access to funding for bachelor's degree.

Starting pay is $18/hr with an Associate’s degree and $20/hr with a Bachelor's degree; non-exempt under FLSA; reports to the Center Director.

Qualifications

• MA EEC Lead Teacher certificate.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree; funding for Bachelor's.
• Current certification in first aid and CPR preferred; CORI checks.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements a high-quality active learning program for children.
• Establishes safe, healthy learning environments and supervises safety.
• Maintains attendance, reporting, and family communication.
