Job summary

The Learning Experience – Bushwick in Brooklyn, NY is hiring Lead Early Childhood Teachers for our 2.5–3-year-old classrooms. You will create a warm, structured learning environment and deliver the LEAP curriculum.

Candidates should have one of the listed degrees or a CDA, and possess experience leading a toddler classroom; this is a full-time, Monday–Friday role with a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, or
• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, or
• CDA credential, or
• High School Diploma/GED plus at least 5 years of relevant early childhood experience

Responsibilities

• Lead a classroom of children aged approximately 2.5–3 years.
• Create a warm, structured, and engaging classroom environment.
• Implement The Learning Experience's LEAP Curriculum.
• Plan hands-on activities that encourage language, creativity, movement and early academics.
• Support independence, self-help skills and social-emotional development.
• Establish routines and positive classroom guidance.
• Observe developmental progress and support milestones.
• Partner with families and provide regular classroom communication.
• Guide and collaborate with classroom support teachers.
• Maintain documentation and classroom safety.
• Follow New York City childcare requirements.

Lead Early Childhood Teacher – 2.5–3-Year-Old Classroom

Location: The Learning Experience – Bushwick, Brooklyn, NY

Pay: $23–$25 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Bushwick is hiring Lead Early Childhood Teachers for our 2.5–3-year-old classrooms.

This is such an exciting developmental stage: children are building independence, developing rapidly expanding language skills, learning how to navigate friendships, and becoming increasingly curious about the world around them. We're looking for experienced educators who can turn that curiosity into meaningful learning experiences.

What You’ll Do

• Lead a classroom of children approximately 2.5–3 years old

• Plan hands-on activities that encourage language, creativity, movement, and early academic skills

• Establish consistent routines and positive classroom guidance
• Observe developmental progress and support individual milestones
• Partner with families and provide regular classroom communication
• Guide and collaborate with classroom support teachers
• Maintain required documentation and classroom safety standards
• Follow applicable New York City childcare requirements

Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following education/experience pathways:

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, or
• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, or
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or
• High School Diploma/GED plus at least 5 years of relevant early childhood experience

Previous experience working with toddlers, older toddlers, or preschool-age children is strongly preferred. Lead classroom experience is also a plus.
