Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with 36 credits in ECE.
• Credential or certification in family services or related field within 18 months of hire.
• Incumbents with CDA or an Associate degree must be pursuing a Bachelor’s in ECE or related field.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and implements classroom activities and field trips; develops daily plans and posts in the classroom.
• Completes screenings and records observations; coordinates with parents to plan programs.
• Supervises and evaluates staff; manages day-to-day operations in supervisor’s absence.
• Ensures safety, quality, and program compliance with Head Start performance standards.
• Fosters parent engagement and cultural awareness through events and home visits.
