Job summary

Antelope Valley College's Child Development Center seeks a dedicated professional to provide a nurturing learning environment and oversee programming for ages birth through school age, while supporting College students with hands-on training.

Under the Director's supervision, the role plans and supervises activities, maintains safety and hygiene, coordinates staff, and collaborates with families and campus partners to advance early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or equivalent.
• Possession of or eligibility for a Teacher permit as per state matrix.
• Minimum one year experience in a Child Development Center or related setting.
• Basic First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, oversee, and implement class programs in accordance with state guidelines and center philosophy.
• Supervise classroom staff and student workers; coordinate activities and relationships.
• Maintain a healthy, safe, and inclusive environment for diverse families.
• Prepare materials and participate in professional growth activities.
• Incorporate computer-assisted instruction and track skill development samples.
