Avec Community Action is seeking an experienced teacher to plan, prepare, and implement activities in a center-based classroom. You will lead staff, engage families, and ensure program quality while managing day-to-day operations in the center.

The role requires 2–3 years of teaching young children, supervisory experience, and a strong focus on safety, development, and family engagement. Open classroom philosophy and first aid/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of classroom teaching with young children
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience
• Plan for individual learning needs
• Maintain safe, healthy learning environments
• Conduct developmental screenings

Responsabilités

• Plan and implement classroom activities and field trips; update daily plans.
• Screenings and observations; work with parents on programs.
• Plan cultural awareness activities at least monthly.
• Prepare and supervise nutritious meals and snacks; manage supplies.
• Oriente parents as classroom volunteers; attend meetings.
• Coordinate and attend home visits.
• Hire, train, supervise staff; conduct performance reviews.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
