Job summary

KinderCare in Kirkwood, MO is seeking a dedicated early childhood educator to lead and mentor a classroom of young children. You will implement the KinderCare curriculum, create a safe, nurturing environment, and partner with parents to support each child’s growth and development.

You will work with center staff to meet enrollment and accreditation goals, build strong relationships with families and the community, and ensure high-quality care aligned with licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and organizational skills; able to multi-task.
• Possess active CDA Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
• Approved state trainer (preferred).
• 2–3 years Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meet state-specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors.
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English.

• Lead, coach and mentor teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that supports each child's needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner and connect with parents to provide the best care and education.
• Support center success; collaborate with staff and leadership on enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners.
