A leading educational institution in Houston is seeking a Lead Early Childhood Educator to collaborate with teaching staff and families to implement a curriculum that supports children's diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Early Childhood Education and experience in classroom settings, demonstrating excellent communication and teamwork skills. The Lead Early Childhood Educator works collaboratively with their classroom teaching partner, teaching team, and school-wide team, as well as partnering with families and the leadership team. The goal is to carry out a classroom vision that meets the needs of individual children and the class, supporting students' learning interests.
Responsibilities include supervising and implementing the classroom curriculum in line with school goals, philosophy, and policies. This involves preparing lesson plans, classroom materials, student observations, and planning developmentally appropriate learning activities that promote social-emotional, physical, language arts, cognitive, and spiritual development across various areas such as art, dramatic play, environmental awareness, multicultural/anti-bias education, math, science, motor skills, music, health, and outdoor exploration.
