Job summary

AIG is seeking an Underwriting Team Lead to drive profitable growth in our E&S property portfolio. You will lead and mentor a team of underwriters, underwriting primary, shared, layered, and excess structures, while applying your CAT modeling expertise to balance risk and reward.

You will collaborate with regional leaders to shape strategy and maintain strong relationships with wholesale brokers. The role emphasizes disciplined underwriting and people development in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of Commercial E&S underwriting experience.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a underwriting team.
• Strong knowledge of CAT modeling, OEP/AEP, TvAR, AAL, TCPs.
• Clear understanding of ISO form usage.
• Established relationships with the territory's wholesale brokerage community.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite property risks across E&S for the team, providing leadership and technical guidance.
• Underwrite 100% primary/shared and layered, and excess structures.
• Influence market decisions and drive team execution.
• Partner with regional leadership to shape strategy and culture.
• Coach and develop underwriters within the zone.
