Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking an experienced Dynamics Engineer to own structural dynamics, random vibrations, and acoustics analyses for Terran R systems. You will work across propulsion, manufacturing, software and flight teams to drive design decisions and test programs that meet stringent aerospace standards.

The role requires 3+ years in dynamics, familiarity with NASTRAN/ABAQUS/ANSYS, and a track record of solving complex cross-disciplinary problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in structural dynamics, random vibrations, and acoustics.
• Expert knowledge of test vibration and shock methods; capable of plan development.
• Knowledge of NASTRAN, ABAQUS or ANSYS and one tool fluently.
• Experience with high-speed instrumentation and signal processing.
• Proven ability to drive dynamics issues to closure across domains.
• Strong technical leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Own design considerations for secondary structures, avionics and actuators for vibration and shock.
• Manage instrumentation implementation with Avionics for reliable test and flight data.
• Plan and execute tests related to vibration, shock and acoustics.
• Develop payload interface vibration/shock/acoustic levels for spec compliance.
• Collaborate with aerodynamics, propulsion, GNC, reliability, and life analysis teams.
• Mentor junior analysts to be hardware-focused and rigorous.
