Job summary

GoodLife Innovations is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional in Lawrence, KS to lead direct care efforts and mentor DSPs across multiple residential programs. You will model best practices, coach staff, and support individuals in daily living activities with a focus on safety and compassion.

The role requires experience as a DSP or caregiver, supervisory capabilities, and the ability to handle flexible day shifts. Employees receive weekly pay, benefits, and a $250 hiring bonus.

Qualifications

• Previous Direct Support Professional or caregiving experience required.
• Supervisory or staff-training experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to give/receive feedback professionally.
• Reliable, adaptable self-starter who adjusts quickly to changing routines and staffing needs.
• Ability to perform essential direct care and behavioral support duties, including physical assistance.

Responsibilities

• Lead by Example: provide high-quality direct support and mentor DSPs.
• Coach and train staff with hands-on guidance.
• Support independence in daily living skills.
• Implement behavior support plans and manage behavioral challenges.
• Support health, safety, and medication administration.
• Communicate feedback to management about operations and improvements.
• Provide coverage across homes as needed.
