Qualifications

• Reading and writing ability sufficient for job performance.
• Three years of commercial truck driving experience.
• No preventable accidents within the last 12 months.
• Valid Texas CDL, with requirement to obtain Class A CDL within six months of selection.
• Substitution rules allow replacing education or experience to meet minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

• Train and train drivers on refuse collection trucks and procedures.
• Lead and supervise the assigned work crew on a daily basis.
• Perform pre-, during-, and post-trip inspections and report vehicle malfunctions.
• Instruct drivers on safety procedures and efficient routing to disposal or processing facilities.
• Educate residents and staff on collection procedures and materials.
