Job summary

MemorialCare Health System in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Clerk, Lead Driver to serve as the primary delivery driver for Receiving/Distribution, overseeing receipt, documentation, storage and distribution of supplies and equipment for the medical center. The role also includes clerk duties, maintaining accurate records, coordinating with departments, and ensuring timely, compliant deliveries.

Qualifications

2+ years in receiving and shipping in a healthcare setting.
Knowledge of receiving and shipping documentation, distribution systems, inventory management.
Able to stabilize freight shipments up to 50 pounds.
Experience with MMIS and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead driver for off-site shipments and manage loading and transport.
Maintain delivery vehicle and logs per protocol; keep logs tidy.
Operate pallet jack/hand truck to fulfill deliveries and coordinate with departments.
Coordinate deliveries to ensure high-priority items are expedited and properly received.
Prepare internal records of all shipments, damages, returns and items sent for repair.
Perform daily cycle counts in Central Supply Receiving.
