Sturdy Memorial Hospital is seeking a Materials Technician/Driver to perform scheduled and unscheduled pickups and deliveries of medical and non-medical supplies. The role supports daily supply chain operations and requires safe driving and accurate clerical work.

Responsibilities include transporting items between departments and off-site locations, verifying delivery accuracy, and assisting with receiving and inventory control when not driving.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Massachusetts or Rhode Island driver’s license required.
• OSHA Forklift Certification (required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire).

Responsabilités

• Operate hospital vehicles safely for pickups and deliveries.
• Transport supplies, equipment, specimens, documents between departments and off-site locations.
• Verify delivery accuracy against requisitions, packing slips, or electronic docs.
• Load/unload vehicles using proper lifting techniques.
• Maintain mileage records and documentation per hospital policy.
• Provide courteous, customer-focused service and timely delivery.
