Job summary

SkyHop Global in Portland (PDX) seeks a Lead Driver (Player-Coach) to lead a team and drive routes. This hands-on leadership role sets safety, service, and accountability standards while in the field.

You'll recruit, schedule, and coach drivers, conduct ride-alongs, and ensure vehicle readiness, with a no-mobile-device policy and a focus on customer-first service. Pay is $22.00–$24.00 per hour, plus benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old (DOT requirement).
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License with 3+ years driving experience.
• Clean driving record (no recent violations or at-fault accidents).
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must pass background check, drug screen, and physical.
• Ability to obtain a Non-CDL DOT Medical Card.
• Conversational English required.
• Must be available weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support a team of drivers in a fast-paced, 24/7/365 operation.
• Build the schedule and adjust coverage based on airline activity and operational needs.
• Assist Station Leader with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new drivers.
• Act as a player-coach—drive routes as needed while leading by example.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and service expectations.
• Conduct driver ride-alongs, training, and performance feedback.
• Oversee vehicle readiness, inspections, and coordination with Fleet Manager.
• Lead safety meetings and reinforce policies (including no mobile device policy).
• Maintain strong working relationships with airport and hotel partners.

Job Title: Lead Driver (Player-Coach) – PDX Location

SkyHop Global, a premier ground transportation company for airline crews, is seeking a Lead Driver (Player-Coach) for our Portland (PDX) location. We transport pilots and flight attendants between airports and hotels, delivering safe, reliable service while creating “Raving Fans.”

This is a hands-on leadership role—you’ll lead the team while also being in the field driving, setting the standard for safety, service, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and support a team of drivers in a fast-paced, 24/7/365 operation
• Build the schedule and adjust coverage based on airline activity and operational needs
• Assist Station Leader with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new drivers
• Act as a player-coach—drive routes as needed while leading by example
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and service expectations
• Conduct driver ride-alongs, training, and performance feedback

Driver Responsibilities (While in the Field):

• Create “Raving Fan” experiences on every trip
