Job summary

SkyHop Global is seeking a field-based Operations Supervisor to manage, coordinate, and schedule a fleet of drivers according to airline schedules in Bloomington, MN.

You will direct driver activity, provide leadership and coaching, recruit and train staff, and oversee vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure safe, on-time service for pilots and flight attendants. This role is in-field 50–75% of the time and requires strong communication, problem solving, and a focus on customer experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old (DOT requirement).
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License with 3+ years driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no recent violations or at-fault accidents.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Pass background check, drug screen, and physical.
• Conversational English required.
• Available weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Directs the work activity for a group of drivers to maximize profitability and the customer experience.
• Provide leadership and direction to drivers including process improvement, team-building, coaching and feedback.
• Assist in minimizing overtime except in emergencies.
• Recruit, interview, train, motivate, coach, and mentor transport drivers.
• Maintain fleet vehicle inspections, schedule maintenance, and communicate concerns daily.
• Promote safe work activities through safety audits and regular safety meetings.
• Safely transport airline crew members to/from airports and hotels.
• Assist with luggage up to 75 lbs.
• Communicate effectively via radio and in person.
• Deliver professional, on-time, customer-focused service.
• Create 'Raving Fan' experiences on every trip.

SkyHop Global is one of the premier ground transportation companies for airline crews. We provide the transportation for pilots and flight attendants during their layover periods in a multitude of cities. The primary purpose of this position is to manage, coordinate, and schedule a fleet of drivers according to airline schedules. NOTE: Depending on location size; may be expected to be in the field 50-75% of their scheduled time.

Key Responsibilities

• Directs the work activity for a group of drivers that utilize the best cost option to maximize profitability and the customer experience.


• Provides leadership and direction to drivers to include process improvement, team-building, coaching and feedback.


• Assist in minimizing overtime only to emergencies situations.


• Assist the Station Manager with the following: Recruit, interview, select, train, motivate, coach, and mentor transport drivers.


• Responsible assisting in the daily maintenance review of fleet vehicles; daily vehicle inspections, schedule maintenance, and communicate concerns to Fleet Manager daily when necessary and through weekly. Manage checklists on the fleet.


• Promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits, leading station safety meetings on a regular basis and meeting with individual staff members.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist the Station Manager with managing local permits and vehicle registrations and communicate with finance for timely renewal.


• Maintain positive professional relationship with airport ground transportation. Attend meetings as required.


• Must complete required paperwork timely. Adhere to company policies and all protocol

Requirements

• Must be 21+ years old (DOT requirement)


• Valid U.S. Driver’s License with 3+ years driving experience

• Ability to obtain a Non-CDL DOT Medical Card


• Conversational English required


• Must be available weekends and holidays
