You will participate in DOTD training and ongoing education while handling repairs with limited supervision.

Three years of mechanic experience are required. The position offers a starting hourly salary of $22.52 and advances in a structured state system.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience or training as a mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Directs the sequence of work, assigns tasks, provides guidance and assists lower level mechanics.
• Performs quality assurance/analysis on repaired vehicles and equipment.
• Disassembles, diagnose, overhaul, rebuilds and repairs heavy equipment or complex systems.
• Troubleshoots, tests and repairs electrical systems, electronic scanners, engine analyzers, dynamometers, exhaust analyzers, oscilloscopes, testers and meters.
