Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Lead Dosimetrist to oversee dosimetry operations within the Department of Radiation Oncology. You will lead patient-specific dosimetry tasks, guide staff, and drive safe, efficient planning workflows.

The role emphasizes SBRT/SRS planning, integration of new technologies, and collaboration with physicians, physicists, and IT to advance patient care. Strong leadership and 4+ years of clinical dosimetry are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Completion of a Medical Dosimetry Program (post-BSc) required.
• Master’s degree in Dosimetry, Physics, Computing or Math preferred.
• 4 years of clinical experience in medical dosimetry required.
• Leadership/management experience in clinical dosimetry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and delegate patient-specific dosimetry tasks with supervision.
• Lead treatment planning across most sites and techniques (3D/IMRT/SBRT/SRS).
• Lead implementation of new planning techniques and modalities including AI-assisted planning.
• Guide dosimetrist team in remote dosimetry workflows and QA processes.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement and accreditation activities.
• Train staff and students; participate in research and clinical trials.
