Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Medical Dosimetrist to join the cancer care team. You will work with Medical Physics to oversee dosimetry operations and guide treatment planning, ensuring plans meet physician prescriptions and safety standards.

The role includes mentorship of dosimetrists, process improvements, and collaboration with Radiation Therapists and physicians to deliver high-quality patient care. A CMD certification and JRCERT education are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the physical or biological sciences, medical dosimetry or radiation therapy.
• CMD certification from the MDCB is required.
• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited medical dosimetry program.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dosimetry operations and provide clinical guidance.
• Mentor dosimetry staff and coordinate with Medical Physics.
• Assist in treatment planning and QA activities.
• Collaborate with physicians and radiation therapists on plans.
