Position: Senior Document Control Technician (Levels III)

Location: Los Angeles World Airport (LAWA)

Status: Full-time on-site

Opening: Winter 2024, Immediate

Position Description Summary

To process, distribute, and archive all project-related documentation using Prolog Manager or other PM Software. Maintain an electronic and hard copy centralized filing system. The qualified candidate may work with the construction management team in a field construction environment once training is completed.

Essential Job Duties
  1. Control, scanning, indexing, linking, hardcopy filing, and distribution of documents in Prolog.
  2. Prepare transmittals, distribute documents using Prolog, and retrieve documents through Prolog software or other applicable software.
  3. Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
  4. Must be a proactive self-starter with a results-oriented focus.
  5. Must be sensitive to time deadlines and adaptable to changing priorities.
  6. May be designated as a lead Document Control Technician on a project.
  7. May be assigned training duties for new staff on document controls procedures.
Other Job Duties

Assist the Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Project Team in all matters related to project documents and the control and distribution of documents in Prolog Manager.

Process project documents and maintain document control files in accordance with project document control procedures.

Hardware/Software Knowledge
  1. Microsoft Office Suite required.
  2. Experience with Adobe Acrobat required.
  3. Experience with large-scale Document Control Software preferred; Prolog and/or Documentum highly desirable.
  4. Demonstrated experience with routine Document Control hardware and software.
Professional Experience Level/Other Qualifications
  1. Previous experience managing Document Control for a large-scale, billion-dollar construction project required.
  2. Must have a self-starter attitude with a proactive, results-oriented focus.
  3. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  4. Effective oral and written communication skills.
  5. Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
  6. Must be able to occasionally lift and move boxes/packages of up to 40 pounds.
Required Qualifications
  1. US Employment Authorization without needing sponsorship.
  2. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  3. A valid Driver’s License and compliance with PACIFIC’s Vehicle Policy.
  4. Proficiency with common Microsoft Office Applications and Adobe Acrobat.
  5. 3+ References from Clients.
Education/Training/Experience
  1. Two-year technical degree; Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
  2. Level III: 10 years or more of experience with document processing and data management.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Previous experience in a construction environment is highly desirable.
  2. Certification for document control professionals highly desirable.
