Position Overview

Pacific Pros is seeking a Senior Document Control Technician (Level III) to serve Los Angeles World Airport (LAWA). This is a full-time, on-site position located in Los Angeles, CA, with an immediate opening in Winter 2024.

The role involves processing, distributing, and archiving project documentation using Prolog Manager or other project management software. The candidate should be able to work both electronically and with hard copies, and may be co-located with the construction management team in a field environment after training. Candidates must have the means to commute between office and field locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Control, scan, index, link, file, and distribute documents in Prolog, including correspondence, technical submittals, reports, RFIs, and plans.
  • Prepare transmittals and manage document retrieval and distribution using Prolog or similar software.
  • Maintain organized electronic and hard copy filing systems, create binders and labels.
  • Assist project managers and teams with document control tasks and support project documentation processes.
  • Create and organize project document files, including correspondence, memos, submittals, and photos.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with large-scale document control software such as Prolog or Documentum is preferred.
  • Previous experience managing document control for large-scale construction projects, especially in the public sector, is required.
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to interface with diverse teams and maintain a positive, customer-service attitude.
  • Capability to lift and move boxes up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Qualifications
  • US employment authorization without sponsorship.
  • Two-year technical degree; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in document processing and data management for Level III candidates.
  • Proven leadership in managing document control teams is desirable.
  • Valid driver’s license and compliance with company vehicle policies.
