Parsons is seeking a Lead Doc Control Specialist, Airports, to support the McGhee Tyson Airport project in Alcoa, TN. You will oversee document control, assist the Project Manager, and coordinate with design teams, contractors, and field staff to ensure timely issue resolution.

The role requires 3–5 years in construction management, strong documentation skills, and proficiency with Primavera, Procore, MS Project, and MS Office 365. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of construction management experience, aviation or transportation projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction documentation, contract administration, and project controls.
• Proficiency with project management and office software and AI prompts to improve team efficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with daily project administration.
• Review, log, and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and contractor correspondence.
• Utilize AI to streamline day-to-day activities to improve efficiency.
• Provide technical support to field staff and act as liaison between office and site.

• Classify and organize documents by type, entity, date, and status.
• Assist with writing technical reports and preparing invoices for client submission.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed for the Program.

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Lead Doc Control Specialist, Airports to join our team! In this role you will get to support the Parsons team at the McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) in Alcoa, TN.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assist the Project Manager with daily project administration
• Review, log, and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and contractor correspondence
• Utilizing AI to help streamline day-to-day activities to help improve efficiency
• Provide technical support to field staff and act as a liaison between the office and site
• Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution
• Classify and organize documents by type, entity, date, and status
• Assist with writing technical reports and preparing invoices for client submission
• Various responsibilities as needed for the benefit of the Program

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

• 3-5 years of experience in construction management, preferably in aviation or transportation infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of construction documentation, contract administration, and project controls
• Proficiency with project management and office software (Primavera, MS Project, Procore, and MS Office 365 including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and an understanding of AI prompts to help make the team more efficient
• Skilled in technical writing for reports, recommendations, and analysis, including charting and presentation preparation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

• Previous experience in airport/aviation construction projects
• Working knowledge of MKAA or similar state/local agency requirements
• PE/EIT certification or CMIT/CCM or CAPM/PMP credential or ability to achieve

Salary Range:

$103,500.00 - $181,100.00
