Job summary

County of Fresno is seeking a Senior District Attorney Investigator to conduct complex and sensitive investigations and to possibly lead staff on investigative projects within the District Attorney's Office.

The role requires a valid Intermediate POST certificate, peace officer status, and completion of a thorough background, medical, and psychological examination. Eligible candidates must meet multiple options for education and experience.

Qualifications

• Education: bachelor's degree from a US accredited college or university.
• Experience: depending on education, two to five years in investigations in a public law enforcement agency.
• Certificate: valid Intermediate POST certificate.
• Age: at least 21 years old.
• License: valid Class C driver's license.
• Peace officer status required under CA Penal Code 830.1.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex and sensitive criminal and civil investigations.
• May act in lead capacity, assigning and coordinating staff.
• Perform related duties as required.

Education

Bachelor's degree (US accredited)

60 semester units (US system)

Five years as DA Investigator in Fresno County
