Job summary

Sumter Utilities, Inc., a Quanta Services company, seeks a Crew Foreman for Directional Boring & Underground Utility operations in Georgia.

Successful candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of HDD experience, CDL preferred, and the ability to lead on-site drilling while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role includes planning, reporting, and coordinating crew activities on complex underground projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience operating small to mid-size HDD in urban settings.
• Ability to safely execute directional drilling plans to meet project requirements.
• Oversee drilling operations in compliance with Safety & Environmental requirements.
• Experience in daily drilling reports and as-built surveys.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to UG Linemen, Equipment Operators and Groundmen.
• Read and interpret site plans and scopes of work.
• Ensure safe operation of heavy equipment and compliance with OSHA standards.
• Coordinate crew mobilization, subcontractors, and traffic control on site.
• Travel and work away from home as required.
