Job summary

Community Services, Inc. is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional for Beaverton/Aloha day shift (Wednesday-Saturday, 6:00 am–4:00 pm, 40 hours/week) to care for individuals with disabilities and promote independence.

You will support life skills, accompany to appointments, assist with finances and documentation, and share on-call duties with the supervisor while adhering to all regulations and providing person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have one year of prior Direct Support Professional experience.
• Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
• Background check must be acceptable.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in developing life skills and independence.
• Accompany individuals to appointments and activities.
• Assist with personal finances and documentation review.
• Share on-call responsibilities with site supervisor.
• Provide person-centered services and advocacy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care.

(CSI), as Lead Direct Support Professionals (LDSPs), to provide care and support for individuals with disabilities. As a Lead DSP, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities by assisting them in various aspects of daily living, promoting independence, and fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.**What you will do as a Lead DSP:**Ultimately, the goal is to help the people you support, feel and become as independent as possible, while they live their daily lives. Among other things, you will:* Support individuals in developing life skills, such as communication, self-care, and household management.* Accompany individuals to appointments, social events, recreational activities, and other outings.* Assist in the management of personal finances and review of documentation for the individuals in your care.
