Job summary

Sunrise Community, Inc. seeks Direct Support professionals in Idaho Springs, CO to provide supervision and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them live valued lives in the community.

You will assist with training and daily activities, ensure safety, document plans and coordinate scheduling, appointments, and transportation. The position is hourly, with a competitive pay rate and benefits, and we expect candidates to pass background checks and drug

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment background and drug screenings.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License with endorsements and have 3 years of driving experience.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent if required by location.
• Minimum one year of experience in human services if required by location.

Responsibilities

• Assists Residential Program Director in providing supervision to meet individuals' needs and goals according to their plans.
• Ensures training, behavior and support programs are implemented and documented per regulatory requirements.
• Ensures health, safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
• Provides a positive environment that promotes independence and choice.
• Assists with scheduling staff, doctors’ appointments, vehicle maintenance and grocery shopping as assigned.
• Monitors ongoing compliance with agency directives, licensing standards and policies.
• Ensures homes, outside areas and vehicles are well maintained and organized.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
