Lead Direct Support Professional – We are looking for a Lead Direct Support Professional to help with our vision.
Pay: $17.00–19.50 an hour
Job Type: Full-time
Shift: 7a–7p
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision to Direct Support Professionals.
- Ensure overall therapeutic environment is available to individuals in our care (environment is safe without hazard of injury and individuals' rights are respected).
- Complete daily cleaning, housekeeping, and restocking of supplies during each shift, including proper documentation for all work completed.
- Ensure the Structured Therapeutic Program Schedule is followed.
- Collaborate and coordinate with other departments as needed for the treatment of individuals, including assisting with medical appointments, admissions, and discharges to the program.
- Document all attempts for individual participation in daily activities, such as 15‑minute accountabilities, daily shift notes, and General Event Reporting.
- Responsible for reporting all shift activities and individual health status summary to the incoming staff prior to shift change.
- Ensure proper staff coverage ratio is in place.
- Attend all mandatory team/program meetings.
- Resolve/repair all damaged or non-functioning company property. If unable to resolve/repair, complete and submit a Maintenance Work Request.
- Actively engage in positive, intermittent communication with guardians, family, employees, and referents by telephone and/or face‑to‑face when required.
- Follow the required order of notification and immediately report any event of suspected, witnessed, or reported abuse, neglect, exploitation, or misappropriation. Participate in all stages of an investigation pertaining to alleged/suspected abuse and comply with all external investigations or inspections.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- One year of supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership ability: ability to integrate the vision of the organization with all supportive services and personnel.
