Join StockStory as a Lead Direct Response Copywriter, where you'll be instrumental in optimizing our conversion funnel and re-defining our marketing strategies. Qualifications

• 5+ years experience driving subscription growth for a B2C product in investing, trading or personal finance space.
• You can write great copy that sells - experience with direct response (financial strongly preferred).
• Generalist skillset - you will be building across diverse channels including direct response email campaigns, in-product conversion funnels and ads.
• A data-driven mindset - able to track, measure, and optimize results.
• Experience with AI tools and automation to boost scale and productivity.
• Passion for the stock markets; you have to be an active investor yourself.
• Fast learner with a growth mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead ideation and development of new campaign and conversion funnels from 0 to 1.
• Build, run and optimize direct response and lifecycles email campaigns.
• Optimize conversion rates across the whole funnel from new user acquisition to subscription, retention and churn.
• Collaborate with engineering team to automate and streamline marketing operations.
• Own analytics dashboard and help us make data-informed decisions.

The Opportunity: Lead Direct Response Copywriter

You’ll be the first dedicated marketer on a 10-person, product-heavy team directly working with the CEO. You will own the full conversion funnel from registration, paid conversion to retention. We have a massive audience of engaged investors and a very sticky subscription product but have done very little so far to build up and optimize our conversion (monetization) funnels.

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years experience driving subscription growth for a B2C product in investing, trading or personal finance space
• You can write great copy that sells - experience with direct response (financial strongly preferred)
• Generalist skillset - you will be building across diverse channels including direct response email campaigns, in-product conversion funnels and ads
• Strong track record of developing and launching performance-driven campaigns - at StockStory we prefer profitable over pretty
• A data-driven mindset - able to track, measure, and optimize results
• Experience with (or excitement to explore) AI tools and automation to boost scale and productivity.
• Passion for the stock markets, you have to be an active investor yourself
• Fast learner with a growth mindset (we are not expecting you to know everything but are expecting you to learn it quickly). Keen eye for detail and a high bar for quality.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead ideation and development of new campaign and conversion funnels from 0 to 1
• Build, run and optimize direct response and lifecycles email campaigns (including deliverability)
• Optimize conversion rates across the whole funnel, from new user acquisition to subscription, retention and churn. Y ou will be able to deploy most of your tests into production on the same day
• Collaborate with engineering team to automate and streamline marketing operations and build in-product funnels to drive conversion
• Own analytics dashboard and help us make data-informed decisions. Perform user interviews to uncover insights that compound growth.
• Contribute to product and marketing copy across everything we do

Location: NYC (Hybrid) | Compensation: $100,000-$130,000 base + equity
