Job summary

Terrapin House, Inc. is seeking a Lead Direct Care Support Professional to provide one-on-one support for a young man in the Lititz area.

This role prioritizes understanding behavior as communication and building a person-centered environment based on trust and emotional regulation. You will deliver 2:1 support, help foster community involvement, and maintain thorough records to track progress and milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Social Work, or Recreational Therapy, or NADD certificate required.
• Experience with behavior support is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ability to pass required background clearances.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized support based on the person’s interests, strengths, and sensory needs.
• Support emotional regulation using positive strategies to help the person stay calm and feel safe.
• Encourage community involvement in meaningful, respectful ways within the Lititz area.
• Keep clear records by tracking support needs, progress, trends, and milestones.
