Job Title: Lead Digital Project Manager

Position Summary

The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research ("the Foundation") is seeking top talent for its Lead Digital Project Manager. Reporting to the Director of Project Management, this role leads complex and high-impact initiatives that sit at the intersection of marketing, communications, and technology.

This position plays a critical role in bridging MarComms and Technology teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and execution across digital and platform-driven projects. The Lead Project Manager will drive and accelerate key digital initiatives – such as website refreshes and enhancements – while partnering closely with email and digital teams to support the rollout of new frameworks and capabilities. In collaboration with broader team leads, this role may also help advance and operationalize emerging efforts across areas such as AI, marketing technology, and social media.

This role provides oversight across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational priorities. As a trusted partner to senior leaders and cross-functional teams, this individual brings strong fluency in working with MarComms and technology stakeholders, drives alignment across disciplines, and helps evolve project management practices to support increasingly integrated, digitally driven work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage project teams, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring team cohesion
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders to communicate project status and address concerns
Project Planning
  • Partner with senior leadership to define project scope, objectives, success metrics, and deliverables aligned to organizational priorities
  • Translate business needs into actionable project plans, ensuring feasibility in partnership with Technology teams
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and constraints, and develop mitigation strategies to maintain momentum
Execution and Monitoring
  • Oversee end-to-end project execution, ensuring delivery against timelines, scope, and budget
  • Monitor project performance and proactively adjust plans to address risks, shifting priorities, or resource constraints
  • Establish and maintain clear project documentation, including timelines, roadmaps, and status reporting for diverse audiences
Digital and Technology Integration
  • Act as a key connector between MarComms and Technology, ensuring seamless collaboration across platforms, tools, and workflows
  • Partner with technology, email, and data teams to support the rollout of new frameworks, capabilities, and user experiences
  • Support the operationalization of emerging initiatives in collaboration with internal subject matter leads
Quality Assurance
  • Ensure project deliverables meet organization’s standards and expectations
  • Implement and enforce best practices and project management methodologies to enhance project outcomes
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, increase efficiency, and enhance cross-team collaboration
Team and Stakeholder Enablement
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to peers, helping to elevate project management capabilities across the team
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, managing expectations and incorporating feedback into execution
  • Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented team environment across departments
Qualifications & Skills
  • Proven experience leading large, complex, cross-functional projects, with a track record of successful delivery in fast-paced environments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives with competing timelines, priorities, and stakeholders
  • Strong experience partnering with both business and technology teams, with the ability to translate between technical and non- technical audiences
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to build trust and influence at all levels of an organization
  • Highly proactive and organized, with strong judgment and the ability to independently prioritize and navigate ambiguity
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to synthesize and communicate information clearly across teams
  • Skilled communicator who sets clear expectations, drives alignment, and facilitates effective decision-making
  • Experience supporting digital initiatives such as website development, email platforms, or marketing technology ecosystems is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana) and technology tools (Drupal)
  • PMP or equivalent certification is strongly preferred
