Job summary

RRD in Dallas, TX is seeking a 1st shift Printing and Bindery Specialist to operate high‑resolution print equipment, program jobs, and maintain production logs. The role emphasizes color accuracy, file handling, and proactive maintenance to meet customer specs.

The job requires advanced digital print knowledge, problem solving, and the ability to guide junior operators. A strong emphasis on inventory management and quality control is expected in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of digital print and/or inkjet imaging equipment, setup and procedures.
• Able to diagnose and correct operating problems affecting quality and timeliness.
• Advanced understanding of color theory and ability to adjust output to customer specs.
• Excellent knowledge of file manipulation and file formats for digital print.
• Strong ability to set up feed rollers, tensioning and inline finishing per job specs.
• May instruct junior operators on corrective adjustments.
• Corrections require evaluating symptoms, causes and remedies.

Responsibilities

• Operate high resolution, proprietary imaging equipment for digital printing.
• Program and prepare jobs for printing.
• Maintain daily print job production logs and delivery manifests.
• Setup, program and release jobs from the print queue.
• Adjust image position, color quality, resolution, perforations and folds.
• Monitor output quality for accuracy and imaging.
• Order supplies like ink, chemicals, blankets, rollers, paper and tabs as needed.
• Maintain inventory levels.
