Job summary

Model Dairy LLC in Reno, NV is seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to join our fleet. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel trucks, tractors, refrigeration units, and trailers, ensuring safety and readiness for operation.

This role leads 90-day PMs per DOT guidelines, coordinates with Distribution Supervisor, and promotes a safety-first culture. Flexibility for rotating night/weekend shifts; CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong organizational and accuracy skills; able to manage multiple tasks.
• Must solve problems, accept feedback, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; relates across all levels.
• Class A Driver’s license required.
• ASE Master Technician certification (Medium-Heavy) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting and repair of diesel trucks, tractors, refrigeration units, and trailers.
• Perform 90‑day A and B PM services per DOT guidelines.
• Repair brakes, powertrain, and suspension components.
• Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic circuits and systems.
• Coordinate with Distribution Supervisor to schedule work and ensure safety.
• Maintain accurate paperwork post-repairs.
• Promote a safe work environment and uphold safety standards.
• Occasional night and weekend shifts (rotating).
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
