Qualifications

• Technical degree in diesel technology or a minimum of 4 years of diesel technician experience
• Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Able to provide recommendations regarding maintenance and repair decisions
• Able to manage and prioritize work to meet equipment needs
• Able to work independently with little supervision
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Perform annual vehicle inspections, routine preventative maintenance and replacement and repair services
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical problems related to all truck systems, including engine, drive train, cab, brakes, suspension, electrical and communication systems
• Assist the leadership team in developing associates' skills, leading team meetings and enforcing Schneider's established parts processes
• Encourage a safe work environment for all associates and visitors
